re: Raiding Guidelines

Cut/paste and slightly edited from Elvgren's original post.....and then hacked down to size by Wolf from Temp's Post.

1. HAVE FUN!!!! First and foremost this is the goal of this guild. If your goal is self centered we invite you to join another guild.

2. Signing up for raids. We will use a combination of the in game calendar to establish dates of the raids and the website to actually sign up. If you don't sign up, you will not get an invite. If there are not enough signup the raid may be canceled at the discretion of the raid leader. The act of signing up represents a commitment on your part to be on time and prepared. The raid leaders will remember those that are constantly not upholding their end of the bargain, as filling out groups is one of the harder things to get done. Signing up needs to be done at least 3 hours before the raid. On time and prepared means provisioned, prepped, and ready for summon (or preferably at the stone) 5 min prior to raid time. While the rule is 5 minutes, I suggest being ready 15 minutes before to avoid the, "oh I needed to do x, it'll just be a second". Be courteous to the 9 other people that are in the raid. Keep in mind that assignments as seen on the website are not written in stone.

3. Gear Requirements. Its simple. Don't sign up for a raid unless you have the gear. If you need help identifying if you have the correct gear or not, ask an officer or raid leader. That's what we're here for. If you do not have the gear, don't worry. We can help point out what you need and where you can get it from and even help you get it on non raid nights. Remember, we tend to reward raid spots to people who have gone out and tried to get the gear on their own over those we sometimes get forced into dragging along with us undergeared.

4. Preparation. Read the strats, watch the fights. It's no fun for the raid leader to explain the fights over and over. It's also no fun to watch someone do something that is an absolute no-no in a fight. Again, this is all about your responsibility to your fellow guild mates.

5. Loot. We roll as we raid. And we try to spread the loot around as much as possible to our raiders. We try to use a common sense approach where if you've already gotten something for your main spec, and someone else hasn't, then they would get the item. Offspec rolls and tier pieces are separate to this as with offspec rolls you are saving an item from being disenchanted so that's not going to count as a main spec roll and tier pieces we tend to see who actually has tier pieces and award based off of who has them and how many do they have. As with most things, we are an adult guild and if there is a concern over a roll speak up and we will try to hash out your problem. It may not always be what you like, but we try to be as fair as we possibly can regardless of rank, role, or time in the guild.

If you receive something night 1, then it will carry over to the 2nd night of the same raid instance. You are equally responsible for knowing what happened the night before as the Raid Leader. If the Raid Leaders start seeing a pattern of not running the second night because you got something the first, it will be addressed. This is something we really, really do not want to have happen.
